Jim Spence was a great man, with many stories and friends. He served with honor as an Army Veteran in the Korean War, and a short stint in Vietnam. He retired from the Sheriff's office after serving 30-plus years. He married my Mom, who died in 2011. He missed his group of friends from the mall that he would get together with and eat breakfast and chat. His body broke down, but his mind held strong till the end. He didn't go alone, and I'm grateful.
Piet Hein once said: "Do remember to forget anger, worry and regret. Love while you've got love to give. Live while you've got life to live."
Jim will be missed and remembered.
