He played basketball and football, but he excelled at baseball. His memory of home runs, doubles and great plays at 3rd base never faded. He played for Midvale's Semi-Pro team in the Salt Lake Federation Baseball League.
Dad served 2 years in the United States Army, stationed in Greenland.
Dad and Mom married on February 8, 1952, and he never forgot an anniversary. They enjoyed dancing to the big band music of their time, and spent many Saturday nights dancing at the Salt Lake City dance halls.
Mom and Dad were enthusiastic fans of all high school sports, and were proud to be honored as "Super Fans" at the high school state basketball tournament in 1995.
Mom and Dad had many great friends, and especially enjoyed many fun trips with their closest friends, Betty and Phil Peterson and Donna and Doyle Yates.
Dad was also a charter member of the Mountain View Men's Golf Club. He cherished the friendships he made with all of his golfing brothers.
