In loving memory of Jesus L. Flores, "Chuy." He left our side on December 23, 2014, due to heart complications. Born on February 19, 1930 in Dinkyville, Bingham Canyon, Utah, where he was born and raised to Juan G and Inocencia M Flores.
On June 6, 1947, he married ElVera Rubalcava. Married for 48 years, through the good times and the bad, they found they could not live with each other and in the end, they could never live without.
Together they had three daughters: Carmen (Gilbert) Gutierrez, Connie (Richard) Duran, Debra (Gabriel) Villarreal.
He retired after 39 years from Kennecott Copper and through his later years he served as a security guard. He was a determined, strong willed man who always left a permanent impression.
Survived by his children; seven grandchildren, Carla, Felicia, Gilbert Jr, Richard Jr (Neeley), Muriah (David), Gabriel Jr, Mario (Yesenia), thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Juanita, Estella, Martha, Irene, Mary Louise, Esperanza, Angie, Zenaida, Fernando, Juan Daniel, Richard, and Michael. Preceded in death by both parents; wife, ElVera, and granddaughter, Consuleo.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St., Midvale. Rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, with a viewing 6-8 p.m. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street, Salt Lake City.
