Jessie L. Wilkey

Jessie L. Christiansen Wilkey, age 76, of Nephi, Utah, passed away November 4, 2020. She was born September 26, 1944 in Salina, Utah to Harry and Thelma Westenskow Christiansen. She was the youngest child, with 2 brothers and 4 sisters. When Jessie was 5 years old, her mother died. Jessie was taken in and lovingly cared for by her Aunt Alice C. and Uncle Allen E. (Spud) Belliston of Nephi. She attended schools in Nephi and Spanish Fork. On July 20, 1963 she married Blair C. Wilkey in Nephi, Utah. Together they had two sons, Chris A. Wilkey and Martin Blair Wilkey. Blair lost his life serving his country in Vietnam in 1969, leaving Jessie to raise their 2 boys. Later Jessie found companionship and love with Ladd White, and he brought his 2 children, Dana and Mitch, into the relationship.

Jessie loved spending time with her family, crocheting, doing genealogy, camping and making various crafts to decorate her home. She also enjoyed watching the Jazz play with Ladd.

She is survived by Ladd White, Nephi; Chris (Penny) Wilkey, Nephi; Marty (Lisa) Wilkey, Santaquin; bonus children Dana (Courtley) Holman, Tremonton; and Mitch (Missy) White, Nephi. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Blair, parents Harry and Thelma, Spud and Alice, one granddaughter, and 3 sisters. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah.
