Jerry Lewis Sorenson, born on January 22, 1935 in Salt Lake City Utah, passed from this life on April 30, 2018 at age 83 in Harrisburg, North Carolina. He will always be remembered for his kind, caring nature and his immense love of his family.
As a young man, Jerry served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Following this, he served in the United States Navy as a radar operator on a minesweeper. In 1964 he married Judith Johnson, who was the love of his life. He then pursued a career in sales that took them from Utah to Northern California and Southern California. After retirement, Jerry and Judy moved to Concord, North Carolina.
Jerry had a lifelong passion for cars, and took great pride in keeping them in perfect condition. He enjoyed watching sports - especially basketball - and playing golf.
He is survived by his beloved wife Judy, his daughter Sheri Hall, his son Brian Sorenson, and by his four grandchildren, Elise Hall, Tiffany Hall, Cooper Sorenson, and Brady Sorenson.
A memorial service honoring Jerry's life will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 am at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah, 84020. The viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service. Jerry will then be laid to rest in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery near his sweet mother and father.
