Jerry Keil Huish

Jerry Huish, 77, passed away on October 9, 2018, at his home. He was born on May 27, 1941, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was the son of David Henry and Evah Keil Huish. Jerry married the love of his life Kathy Lynne Borg on October 21, 1966, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Jerry loved his country and was proud to wear the uniform. He loved the flag and what it represented. He graduated from the University of Utah where he was a member of the Marching Band. Professionally he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and later as a General Contractor. As members of the Crimson Club, he and his wife enjoyed many different sporting events.

Jerry is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Michelle (Craig) Landford, Stephanie (Justin) Ferguson and four grandchildren whom he greatly loved. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael, his wife's parents and sister-in-law Bonnie Johnson.

A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 1211 East 7800 South, Sandy, Utah, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, preceded by a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45.

Interment will be at Sandy City Cemetery located at 700 East 9000 South, Sandy, Utah. In lieu of flowers Jerry invites you to make a donation to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
