Jerry William Harryman passed away on November 14, 2018. He was born on February 17, 1957 in Murray Utah to James William and Helen B Masters Harryman. He was 61 years old. Jerry was the youngest of five children with two brothers and two sisters. While his parents and siblings have passed away, Jerry continued to receive support from his extended family. Jerry lived at home with his mother until she passed away. Jerry was admitted to the Hillcrest Care Center in June 2008. Where he lived for 10 years.
Survived by his nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jimmy Harryman, Robert Harryman, Judy Duran and Shirley Wright.
Jerry was employed through Life Skills Vocational Center where he participated in various recycling projects. He recycled x-rays, shredded books, Styrofoam, posters, and loved the sensory stimulation room there.
Jerry was a mischievous, light-hearted man who enjoyed laughing. He spent most of his time in the hallway outside of his room, playing with toys or everything he wasn't supposed to have. When his shaker bottle was nowhere to be found, Jerry loved to "borrow" his friends' shoes. He loved soaking up the sun outside. He liked to hold hands and go for walks with staff and loved to eat. Jerry was easily calmed by being with his favorite staff, his favorite toys, or by staff saying some of his favorite words and phrases to him. Jerry's smile could brighten anyone's day and he was a delight to spend time with. He had many friends at Hillcrest and was loved by all.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Hillcrest Care Center for the exceptional care they gave Jerry the past 10 years.
