Jeremy (Jer) Russell Sundell

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Jeremy Russell Sundell, who left this life on January 28, 2025, at the age of 46.

Jeremy was born on August 5, 1978, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout his life, his light, charm, and caring spirit touched many people.

Jeremy’s blend of quick wit, humor, and charisma was palpable to all who were blessed to know him. He was a true friend who showed up in both good times and bad. A lover of animals, the outdoors, camping, golf, sports, politics, and coming up with jokes with his nieces. Jeremy had intelligence and a gift for writing. We will deeply miss our discussions around the kitchen table.

In 2016, Jeremy attended trade school and graduated with his HVAC certification in 2017. He worked in HVAC for over seven years and was well-liked by his employer, receiving high praise from colleagues and customers throughout his career.

He is survived by his loving mom, Rhonda Anderson, and his devoted stepdad, Ken Anderson. Jeremy will be deeply missed by his brother, Nick Anderson, and sister-in-law, Jordan Anderson, as well as his cherished nieces, Vida and Marion, who adored their Uncle Jer. He is also survived by many beloved family members and true friends. 

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Jack Sundell, whom he now joins in peace. He was also preceded in death by his dearest companion, his dog Sydnee, as well as Ruth Stevens (Gram), Clarence Wood (Gramps), Roylance Sundell Terry (Grandma Sundell), Shirl Sundell (Grandpa Sundell), Uncle Jeff White, and Uncle Wade Sundell.

Jeremy’s absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but we will strive to keep his stories and memories alive in our hearts for ages to come.

Together, we will honor and celebrate Jeremy’s life on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Goff Mortuary, 8090 State St., Midvale, UT 84047. Viewing at 10:30 AM, funeral service at 12:00 PM; luncheon to follow services. 

May our “Jer Bear,” his sweet smile, and spirit be remembered forever.
