Early Monday morning, our beloved child slipped the bonds of mortality due to unknown complications from routine dental procedures. He was 8 years old.
Jerec was the light of his family, his infectious laughter rang wherever he was and you couldn't help but laugh with him, usually over something he found hilarious. His imagination knew no bounds, and he was forever telling all around how he would save us all from the zombies, always in detail. The sparkle in his eyes lit up the world and made his family smile constantly. Wherever he went, he made friends. As news spread, all that had met him responded with teary eyes and a story of how he had touched their lives. His smile, always his smile.
The "dude" was a proud and honored student of Mrs. Archibald's second grade class at Midvale Elementary. His abilities in math, english and science were off the charts. He also attended Silver Mesa Elementary where he is remembered with love. He made many friends, and enjoyed the jokes kids play on each other. The joy he found in the way the world worked, the determination to find out "why" of everything, left those in his life breathless. His questions were always to the point and he expected an honest, complete answer.
He leaves behind his devastated Mother, Norma Lorraine Steadman, Sister, Lyllianna Elizabeth McIntyre, Papa, Brian Rees, Grandpa, Micheal Steadman, Aunts, Stephenie, Sarah and Cathy, Uncles, Brad and Jorden, Cousins, Kayla, Alexandra, Austin, Ryker, Amanda, April and Stephen, his special Dad's, Jeff Wilbur and Rick Byas, Nana Great, Terry Rees and his constant companion Cheyenne who is lost without him. Jerec is in the arms of his Nana, Kathy, Nana and Papa Great, Ronna and Jay Steadman, and all the friends he's now playing MineCraft with.
The hole in our hearts is wide, the pain is overwhelming, but the memories and laughter of a truly blessed child of the Almighty remain.

We are blessed by the countless friends who have opened their hearts and wallets at this time.
