Beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great grandma to be, passed away surrounded by her family on September 11, 2015.
She was born on November 9, 1939 to Howard Franklin & Mary Avanel Davis in Murray, Utah. Married Gordon Robert Mills on August 23, 1963 and later sealed for time & all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on May 26,1964. They were blessed with two children Melodee Mills Ward & Brad Lee Mills.
Jeneil was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had numerous callings. She and her eternal companion served a valiant LDS military mission in the Macon, GA mission, serving on the Fort Stewart Army base. She loved serving her mission and all the missionaries she came to know and love. She was missionary mom to all the missionaries in Jacksonville, NC. She was Relief Society President, primary worker, librarian, Relief Society board member. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, even serving as captain, she also was a member of the Red Hats Society.
She is survived by her spouse Gordon Robert Mills, children Melodee Mills Ward and Brad Lee Mills, son-in-law Dallan B Ward, daughter-in-law Tami L Mills and her seven grandchildren who were her prize possessions, Felicia (Dan) Robinson, Arina (Tyler) Wells, Cody Mills, Heidee Ward, Katelyn Mills, Austin Mills, Shyanne Mills and a great grandchild on the way who she's loving right now. Jeneil is survived by one sister Marilyn Curtis, sister-in-law Delilah (Dee) Davis, brother-in-law Paul Hastings and numerous nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Allen Davis, sister Colleen Hastings, and brother-in-law Jerry Curtis.
Funeral services will be September 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S State St, Midvale, UT 84047. Viewings will be on Tuesday September 15, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S 1700 E, Sandy, UT 84092.
