We are heartbroken to share that Jeffrey Todd Sivertsen, age 60, passed away on May 3, 2024, after a fierce struggle with illness.
Jeff was born to June and Gordon Sivertsen on February 10, 1964, in Edmonton, Alberta. He was the third of four children, and he grew up in Calgary with his brother and sisters. He moved to Provo, Utah in 1982 to study accounting at Brigham Young University. From 1983 to 1984, he served an LDS mission in Bolivia. In 1991, he earned his JD in law from the University of Utah. He also started a family, going on to have three daughters in his first marriage.
Jeff had a rich and varied career as an attorney, business founder, chief operating officer, managing partner, and advisor. Throughout his career, he developed a wide circle of friends, and he met Maja Stąpór, the love of his life, in 2003 when they both worked at WorldDoc. They were married on May 26, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He became a father to three more girls with the arrival of his triplet daughters on June 21, 2012 (exactly six years after Jeff and Maja’s first date). He became a proud American citizen on May 18, 2006.
Jeff was known for his generosity, his eagerness to bring people together, and, yes, his off-color jokes. He was a beloved husband and father, a devoted brother and son, and a wonderful friend. He will be so very missed.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Maja; his daughters, Kathryn (Heath), Michaela, Tessa, Zosia, Emmi, and Nika; his brother Darren (Sheri); his sisters, Brenda (Rod) and Michelle (Jay); his parents, Gordon and June; and his grandchildren, Eleanor and Dominic.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Anderson & Goff Mortuary in Draper, Utah. Funeral services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, at 3 p.m. Immediately after the funeral, there will be a celebration of life at the Sivertsen family home (for address text 801.865.1889). In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
