Jeffery Richard Johnson

Sandy, Utah - Jeffery Richard Johnson, age 62, passed away in his sleep on July 15, 2020. He was born March 12, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard Johnson and Dorothy Jeanne Webb and was the fourth of six children.

He spent his childhood in Sandy, Utah and attended Hillcrest High School. Jeff married Anne Rich in 1983 and together they had two daughters, Michaele Jane and Allison Jeanne. Jeff raised Michaele and Allison as a single parent. He was an amazing father that did everything he could to provide them with all they needed. When Jeff was younger, his interests were 4-wheeling, hang gliding, and skiing. He taught his girls to ski when they were young and their family tradition was to spend Christmas Eve at the Alta Ski Resort for the Torch Light Parade. He was also an avid basketball fan and was proud of his home team, the Utah Jazz, when they would make it to the playoffs.

In the early 2000s, Jeff bought a historic home in the heart of Sandy, Utah, where spent much of his time gardening or listening to music on his porch with his dogs that he loved completely, Mamas and Kenchi. Jeff was a very loving person and never hesitated to tell those around him what they meant to him. He made sure to enjoy his life until the end and he had a strong belief in an afterlife full of light and unconditional love.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Richard Johnson and Jeanne Atwood, his brothers Paul and Howard Johnson, and his nephew Daniel Johnson. He is survived by his daughters Michaele and Allison Johnson, his siblings Karen (Eldon) Greenwood, Allison Rose, and Kelly (Isabel) Johnson, and his seven grandchildren Gavin, Gracie, Losi, Weylin, Gunnar, Marissa, and Jake.

Jeff's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial will be held in his honor on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his beloved home located at 8649 South 90 East in Sandy, Utah.

"In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill." - Unknown
