Jeannette Ray McAdams, 84, of Draper Utah, passed away peacefully in her home with loved ones by her side on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
She was born December 2, 1930 in Correctionville, Iowa to Martin George Ludwig and Dorothy Opal Smith Ludwig.
She was the first of six daughters (Jeannette, Geraldine, Naomi, Bernice, Marge and Betty Lou). Her mother passed away shortly after giving birth to their sixth little girl.
Jeannette and her sisters had to be split up and given for adoption shortly after her mother's death. Her Father would eventually remarry and had two more daughters and a son (LouAnn, Connie and Craig)
She lived life to the fullest and was always looking for adventure. She loved boating and especially passionate about her boating trips down the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.
In her youth she was very athletic and loved the game of basketball. She loved following college basketball her entire life, and was a true fan of March Madness.
She always loved learning new things, and became very skilled and accomplished in many.
She was a convert member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she lived and served faithfully.
She was instrumental in the genealogical research of her family and in the completion of all their temple work.
She married Adelbert McAdams in Las Vegas, Nevada who passed away in October of 2004.
She had two daughters and two sons. Her oldest daughter Ann has preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister LouAnn Krause of Washington, her sons George and Thomas, and her daughter Johna, also her 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In keeping with her spirit of living life to the fullest, a celebration of life will be held in her honor on Wednesday, April 1st at 3:00 pm at the Draper 17th Ward Chapel, 1617 East 12700 South, Draper, Utah.
