Jeanne Marie Kelly

We are saddened to announce that Jeanne passed away from a sudden attack of pancreatitis.

She was the first daughter of Dean L. Garner and Rita Gene Martineau.

Married Ray Kelly on November 16, 1978. Later divorced.

Jeanne had a great love and affection for music, theater and the performing arts.

While at Hillcrest High School she won prominent roles in Carousel and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.

Around graduation time Jeanne and her mother were accepted into the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir and performed around Utah for the bicentennial.

She was later fortunate to be accepted into the Utah Symphony Chorus and loved the wide range of classical offerings while performing under Thompson, Silverstein and Lockhart. She loved to take Ryan and Jameson to the Shakespeare Festival and loved all things about the festival experience, especially the talks by Fred Adams. Her last trip to Cedar was in July so Jameson could see Comedy of Errors.

She was a huge Josh Groban fan and could listen to his music forever.

She wanted Ryan to love music and performing and was able to get him accepted into The Wesley Bell Ringers where he spent four wonderful summers traveling and performing nationally and in Canada.

Her working life included The ltalian Village in Murray, and an apprenticeship for hair styling at Robert Steur, which became her life's work. She enjoyed her loyal clients and friends she made over the years, Suzy, Jill and Irene to mention a few. Her last client was the Tuesday before her passing.

She is survived by her son Ryan (Lisa) who she loved and devoted all her efforts to care for him in her home after his illness; grandsons Jameson and Brannon Kelly who she loved and adored and always loved the time they spent together.

She is also survived by brothers Kerry, Kevin, Andre, and sister Marilyn, their wives and children, also many cousins, aunts and her loyal clients. She also always had some pets to keep her happy.

She will be missed.

Her wish was to be cremated.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. at 2:00 pm.
