Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend was called home on December 26, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Jeanne was born on April 7th, 1952 to Arvil G. and Melba Stone in Roosevelt, Utah. She moved to Murray, Utah as a child and graduated from Murray High School. She married G. Todd Soper in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 21, 1973 and had 2 daughters, Diana and Laura.
Jeanne was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings.
Jeanne was a talented seamstress, knitter and crocheter. She enjoyed making and donating clothing for premature babies and made many things for the people she loved over the years. Particular favorites were the handmade Halloween costumes she made for her daughters each year.
We will remember her love of cheesy Hallmark movies, making every holiday special and magical for her family and her knowing what “glamping” was before it was a thing.
Jeanne threw her whole heart into being a mother and friend. She had a sweet spirit and an amazing capacity for unconditional love, not only for her daughters but for her family and many friends as well. Her friendship and love will be deeply missed by many.
Jeanne is survived by her husband Todd, her daughters Diana (Brad) Houtz and Laura (Kai) Wakley, brother Jay (Kris) Stone, sister Suzy (Tom) Livingston, brother-in-law Ryan (Brenda) Soper and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronald A. Stone and Steven A. Stone, and niece Missy Livingston.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 11:00am at the LDS chapel on 2535 E. Newcastle Drive in Sandy, UT. There will be a viewing prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be at the Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, immediately following funeral services.
Services will be live streamed through zoom, to watch click on the link provided https://zoom.us/j/95596888349
