Jean Brown

Jean Sharp Brown passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 and was welcomed into the arms of family and friends who had passed before her.

Jean was born February 13, 1942, in Murray, Utah to Leonard Norris and Dorothy Mae Woodhead Sharp.

She married Ruel Brown February 16, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They then moved to Provo Utah where the children Todd and Jill were born.  In 1964, they returned to Midvale where they resided until 2004.  At the time of her passing, Jean and Ruel resided in Sandy Utah.

Jean was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and a committed and generous friend.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held callings within the Primary and Relief Society.

Jean worked hand in hand with Ruel in his piano tuning business for over 55 years.  When he was no longer able to work she became his full-time caregiver, which she continued to do until she was no longer able.

Jean is survived by her husband Ruel, daughter Jill, three grandchildren Kyrie (James) Kelsch, Joshua (Nicole) and Megan (Sam Herbert) also six great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Todd, her parents and bothers Sydney and Lynn.

A very special thanks for all the love, support and help from many family and friends during Jeans illness.  We would also like to thank the team of caregivers from Quality Hospice.  Dad and I can never thank any of you enough!

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Goff Mortuary 8090 State Street, from 11:00-12:00 with visitation prior to the service from 10:00-11:00.

To the world you were one.  To us you were the world!
