Janett Ann (Langford) Harding

Our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 9, 2017. Janett, and her twin brother, were born on May 20, 1942 to Anthony Walter Langford and Nora Beck. She grew up in Leland, Utah and graduated from Spanish Fork High. She served a mission for the LDS church in New Zealand where she fell in love with the Maori culture. Janett married Marion Kent Harding on April 15, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple, and together, raised 4 adorable children in Sugarhouse, Utah. She went back to school and graduated from the University of Utah with 2 bachelors and a Masters in Social Work. Jan went on to work as the statewide coordinator for Utah Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and also later as the forensic chair for National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends for her strength and tenacity and a little bit of a stubborn streak. Janett is survived by her husband Kent, her children Jerry (Patty) Harding, Michelle (Jake) Colton, Cindy Harding and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Tony Langford, sister Marylou Orme, and her twin brother John (Betty) Langford. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Harvey Langford and her youngest son Paul Harding.
