Janet Lucy Baker Price, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on March 31, 2017. She was born August 20, 1942 in Preston, Idaho to Donald Ray and Ila Lucy Lund Baker and was the eldest of four daughters. Janet married Lorin Ralph Price on October 8, 1964 in the Logan Utah Temple.
Janet grew up on the family farm and graduated from Preston High School and later LDS Business College as a secretary. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in the various church auxiliaries. One of her favorites was serving as a Family History Consultant in which she served for many years.
She loved her family greatly. They were so important to her. She always enjoyed planning and organizing our yearly family reunions. She was a constant loving support to them and countless friends. She found the good in everyone and in almost every situation.
Janet enjoyed being with and supporting others. She often served as an officer and various positions within her local chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She also enjoyed crafting, crocheting and was an excellent seamstress.
Janet is survived by her husband, Lorin, her four children: Delwyn (Kimberly), Mark (Janett), Cheryl (Peter) Willeitner, and Steven (Brittani) Price. Sisters Jeannie Peterson, Wendie (Richard) Blatnick, and Connie (Melvin) Forster. 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Janet is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jaycob.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at the Midvale East Stake Center, 240 East 7570 South, Midvale at 11:00am with a viewing beginning at 10am. Friends and Family may also call on Tuesday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, from 6-8pm.
