Janel Fillmore

Our loving wife, mother, daughter and sister Janel Fillmore has returned to her heavenly father after a courageous battle with cancer that ended July 6, 2020. She was 44 years young. Janel was born December 27, 1975 in Price, Utah.

Janel accomplished many things in her short life. She was in the United States Army, a Weber State graduate, a registered nurse and an incredible wife and mother.  If you could put it in a sewing machine she could fix it. She was crafty and handy, kind and giving. She had friends from every walk of life and you never questioned where you stood with Janel. If she said she would do it, she did it. If she tried something, she succeeded. Janel was a hard worker, an avid reader and unafraid to learn new things. She was the ideal mother of sons and truly valued her time with her boys.

Some of her proudest moments were watching her children's wrestling tournaments, completing home improvement projects with her husband and achieving her goal of becoming a nurse. Janel was an example of bravery and strength.

Her courage in the face of adversity was commendable. Her love of her family immense. She was dedicated to her loving husband Jason and he to her, as it should be, to the very end.

Janel leaves behind many fond memories with friends and family. She is survived by her husband Jason Fillmore and four sons Reggie, Franklin, Dempsey and Mason; her parents John and Lucy Muir and Jerry and Ann DuBois; siblings Jerry DuBois, Jenny Perry, Melisa Dyett, Bindy Marston and Amy Anast; and a large number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

The family extends a special thanks and heaps of gratitude to her fellow nursing friends who gave her such amazing end of life care. They also ask that, in lieu of flowers, you consider making a donation in memoriam to the American Cancer Society.
