James Alvin Lyman

James Alvin Lyman, age 54, passed away from pancreatic cancer on November 20, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born in Nephi, Utah on April 7, 1964 to Robert Goble and Karen Garlick Lyman.

He was raised in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School. He spent his summers herding cows with Grandpa Lyman, camping up Nephi Canyon, riding horses and playing with friends.

Jim has had many jobs including working at Mid-State Consultants, TDS Telecom, RMWT, and Table Top Telephone. These jobs have taken him from Nephi to Wisconsin, Michigan, Louisiana, Idaho, Colorado and Arizona working in the telecommunications industry.

He met Cindy Verret while working in Louisiana. They married November 9, 1991. They raised 3 children: Ronald Chiasson, Joseph Lyman and Cassie Lyman in Colorado.

Jim is survived by his wife Cindy; mother Karen Lyman; children Ronald Chiasson (Jaymee), Joe and Cassie Lyman; grandchildren Campbell and Ruby Chiasson; sisters Rochelle Manglinong (John) and Josette Kerr (Clay); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert and grandparents Joseph and Zetta Lyman and Ray and Maxine Garlick.

We will miss his generosity and constant teasing.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East, Nephi, Utah. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery.
