James Farrington peacefully passed away in his home on July 10, 2024. He was born December 16, 1938 to Cal Farrington and Vera Chapman in Salt Lake City, Utah. James joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served for four years. After his service in the Navy, he then worked for the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office for 34 years. He successfully owned and operated a lawnmower and engine repair shop in Midvale, Utah. James married Nedra Wardle in 1969. Together they happily celebrated 50 years of marriage. James loved to hunt, fish, camp, and travel with family and friends. He is survived by Troy, BJ, Kim, Debbie (Children). Deedra, Seage, Kayden, Easton, Mickinzi, Holdunn, Nicolas, Tashaya, Coby, Mikala, Coleman, Bridger (Grandchildren). Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Colleen, Deanna, Roger, Kay, Jeannie, Dana Dee, Rhonda, Claudia (Siblings). James is preceeded in death by, Cal and Jean Farrington, Vera and Ben Chapman (Parents), Nedra Wardle Farrington (Wife), Kelly Farrington (Son), and Dezi Farrington (Granddaughter). The family would like to thank the aids, nurses, and therapists who compassionately cared for James during his final days. We also would like to thank family and friends for their loving care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. A viewing will be held from 1-2 P.M. at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. A graveside service will follow at Midvale City Cemetery at 2:30 P.M.
