James John Bjork

James John Bjork, 53, of Herriman, Utah passed away the night of February 22nd, 2025. Born on March 29th, 1971 to Marilynne and Delmar Bjork. James lived a life filled with laughter and unwavering love for family and friends.

James served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Argentina. He loved his Father in Heaven. He was also a talented salesman, James had the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Selling across Utah and beyond with his charismatic personality and skill. However, his true passion lay in the kitchen where he found immense joy in cooking for those he cared about. Among his favorite traditions was “cheese nights”, an event where he would prepare an incredible spread of delicious food, bringing together friends and family in a celebration of good company and great flavors. His children, his greatest pride, often joined him in the kitchen, learning from their fathers’ creativity and love of cooking.

James is survived by his two precious jewels, as he lovingly called them, his son Cayden Bjork (28) and his daughter Taylor Bjork (24). He also leaves behind his father Delmar Herman Bjork, his siblings Shawna (Dale) Jorgensen, Kenneth (Yvette) Bjork, Lewis (Linda) Bjork, as well as many dear friends who became family. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Marilynne Bjork.

A viewing to honor and celebrate James’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Anderson and Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah.

James’ kindness, humor and generous spirit will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky to know him.
