Obituary
Jack Lee Regennitter was born to Gladys Regennitter on April 18, 1945 in Maywood, California. Jack passed away in Mesa, AZ, at the age of 72 on February 22, 2018 from injuries sustained in a fall in November 2017.
Jack moved to Utah in 1976. There, he met Denyse Davis in September 1977 and they married on June 24, 1978. In 1963 Jack enlisted at the age of seventeen and served with the US Army First Battalion Third Armored Regiment stationed in Friedberg, West Germany in support of the Vietnam War. He worked over 45 years in the HVAC trade in the field, as a supervisor, and college instructor. He worked for Carrier Corp., US Postal Service, Honeywell, and Salt Lake County. But, his greatest joy was teaching at the Salt Lake Community College and conducting HVAC training seminars throughout the United States.
In 2007, Jack's passions shifted to family and recreation. With Jack in the lead the family enjoyed trips to the family cabin, boating, fishing, and four wheeling through the Uintah Mountains. While wintering in Mesa Arizona, he became an accomplished slow pitch, senior softball player. He loved golf and pickle ball. Jack loved his Mesa sports family. They lovingly called him "Pipes," Road Runner," and "Crazy Legs," among other names.
Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years Denyse, son Tom (Cammille), daughter Angie Peters (Paul), and four grandchildren: Jonathan, Natalie, Addison, and Hazel; brothers Ronald, Bob and Scott, and sisters Laura, Kathleen and Chris. Jack is preceded in death by his brother Thomas J. Regennitter and mother Gladys Regennitter Kinsel.
Services will be held at the Winchester Ward on 6300 South 700 West in Murray, Utah, 84123 on Saturday March 3, 2018. Viewing time is from 10:00 am to 11:45 am, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. Interment immediately thereafter at the South Jordan City Cemetery at 1055 West Towne Center Drive (10630 South) South Jordan, Utah 84095.
