He moved with his parents and three sisters to Sandy, Utah in 1956, and graduated from Jordan High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Newbold, on January 28, 1961. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and many other sports. In 1965 Jack became a Deputy Sheriff with the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, where he had an enormous positive impact on many lives. He retired in 2001 after serving his community for 36 years. He was an inspirational example to his three sons, as well as many of their friends. He enjoyed every moment with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His hugs were legendary.
