Jack Richard Burton, 81, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, sadly passed away quietly at home on September 24, 2018. Born September 23, 1937 in Nephi, Utah to Harry S. and Nellie Carter Burton. He married his sweetheart Luana Garlick on August 24, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a long time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout his life he worked for Associated Food Stores and Cream O Weber. He enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing stories of his childhood and truck driving days. He also enjoyed camping and attending the Ute Stampede Rodeo.
He is survived by his wife Luana Burton, son Scott (Lucy) Burton, son Kirk Burton, daughter Brenda (Stephen) Remlinger, son Bryan Burton, daughter Deann (Tom) Brennan, daughter Jana (Jeff) Austin, daughter-in-law Shelly Burton, 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, his brother Morris (DeAnn) Burton, and his sister Margery (Gordon) Young. He is preceded in death by his son Donald Burton and his parents. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a viewing at 10 a.m. prior to services, along with a viewing Sunday, September 30 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services and viewings will be held at Hunter 11th Ward, 5065 W. Janette Ave., West Valley City, Utah. He will be laid to rest at Vine Bluff Cemetery, 1200 N. 400 E., Nephi, Utah.
