Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great, Great Grandmother left this earth to return to her family on the other side on a beautiful spring day, March 29, 2017.
She was born on February 21, 1922 in Park City, Utah to Francis Leroy Watson and Iona Jones. Hope spent her childhood years growing up in Park City with her mother and then with her Grandma Minnie. She married Keith Charles Williams in Park City on December 24, 1938. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
She and Keith enjoyed the Saturday night square dances in Wanship, where Keith's father often called the dances. She also spent lots of her time working alongside Keith on the farm while raising four sons: Gary Williams (Sue), Gerald Williams, Vern Williams (Michelle), and Kay Williams (Chris). Keith left this earth in 1968, and she married Harvey Pace in 1974. He later passed away.
After raising her family, she served a mission in the North Carolina, Charlotte Mission. She held many church positions both in the ward and in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. She was probably best known in the Wanship Ward for her longtime service as a primary teacher. Hope seemed to be given those classes that maybe needed a little "extra" control. She loved the children she taught, and they loved her. In her later years, she grew fond of spending her winters in Phoenix with her son and his family while coming home to Wanship for the summer.
Hope is survived by her four sons, 9 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. She will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her daughter-in-law, Linda, and three grandchildren.
A special thank you to the staff of The Family Tree in Morgan, Encompass Home Health Care, and the Coalville Health Center for all of the wonderful care that they provided her and her family these past 10 months.
A viewing will be held on Sunday evening, April 2, at the Wanship Ward LDS Church in Wanship, Utah from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends and family may call from 9:45 to 10:45 AM on Monday, April 3, with the funeral beginning at 11:00 AM. The interment will be at the Wanship Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
