He is the son of Harold Allen Meadows and May McFarlane, born on May 5, 1932. He was married to his sweetheart Dixie Greenwood in the Salt Lake Temple on April 29, 1955.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including, Bishop, Stake Presidency, the Scouting Organization, and many more callings throughout his life. He served in the Jordan River Temple for 10 years and loved every minute of it.
He loved being with his family and doing many activities together. He loved to golf, go camping and fishing, go on vacations, and dutch oven cooking. He even wrote a dutch oven cookbook and illustrated the front cover. He made a great brisket and ribs. He loved woodworking and made many pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren.
