Henry Galvan, 85, passed away on January 15, 2020 in Riverton, Utah. He was born on August 15th, 1934 in Driggs, Idaho to Fidencio and Socorro Hernandez Galvan. He was the youngest of 5 children. His family moved to Highland Boy, Utah where his father began working at Kennecott Copper Mine and his mother ran a boarding house.
Henry was a football linebacker at Jordan High School, where he also met Alberta Sharp, the love of his life. They were married in 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah and had 5 wonderful children.
Following in his father's footsteps, Henry worked at Kennecott Copper Mine for forty years. He started his career as a dozer operator, and worked his way to a mine supervisor's position.
His kindness, compassion, and sense of humor attracted many lifelong friends who he treated as family.
Henry was proud of his heritage, if he had had his wish, he would have painted everything Mexican orange and fixed everything with duct tape. He enjoyed music, camping, traveling, scenic car rides, sports, cowboy shows, anything with John Wayne. He was very kind hearted and had a soft spot for his dogs.
He had a deep love for his family, they always came first. He was never one to judge. He accepted and loved you for who you were. He was a great role model for his family and enjoyed being involved in their lives. Henry's passing has left a huge emptiness in all of the hearts he has touched. He is a legend that will never be forgotten.
