Heber Wells Inkley, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in South Jordan, Utah on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Heber was born on October 7, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Inkley and Hannah Burton. He was raised in Garfield, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High in 1954. Heber served a mission for the LDS church in the Northern and Central States mission from 1959-1961.

He married Katherine Westerman on October 25, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served honorably in the US Army. Heber was a letter carrier for 32 years. He also worked at Albertsons and Harmons grocery stores. Heber was an active member of the LDS church; he served as the Bishop of the Cannon 4th Ward and on the High Council of the Cannon Stake. He also served as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River and Oquirrh Mountain temples.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Inkley; mother, Hannah Burton; brother, Keith Inkley; sister, Bernice Fulmer; daughter, Lisa Inkley; daughter, Krista McCauley; son-in-law, Michael Urbain; son-in-law, Danny McCauley. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Inkley; son, Bryan (Michelle) Inkley; three granddaughters (whom he raised), Chauntel (Leif) Brattos; Brittany (Austin) Brown; Ashley (Mike) Rapp; other grandchildren, Austin (Maggie) Inkley; Tanner Inkley; Britton Inkley; Taylor Inkley; CJ (Ty) McCauley; Skyler (Michelle) McCauley; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the South Jordan Highland Stake Center, 10227 South 4000 West. There will be viewings Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
