Hattie Kay Hubbard Huddleston, 77, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed peacefully away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Woodland Park Rehab and Care Center. Kay was born on February 20th, 1942 in Abilene, Texas to parents Owen Hall Hubbard and Emma Leta Lewis.
Kay loved her family and adored her two older sisters Mary and Janis. As a young girl she enjoyed going to the local theatre in Abilene to watch the latest picture shows each week. She graduated from Abilene High School. She had a great love for music and played the violin in High School. She taught herself to play piano and guitar. Kay loved people and children. She cherished time with her nieces and nephews. She always remembered to send family members a birthday card every year. She was a devoted member of the Baptist church. She moved from Texas to Utah in the 1990s to live closer to her sister Mary. She had many happy memories attending the Canyons Church in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She made many long-lasting friends there.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary. The family expresses their deepest thanks to all those who took such good care of Kay at Woodland Park as well as the staff at Hearts for Hospice.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019 at 11:00 am at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment will be on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 5726 US-277, in Abilene, Texas.
