Our dear aunt, great aunt and friend, Harriet Dalton, age 93, passed away on New Year's Eve day December 31, 2016. Harriet touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Those who knew Harriet will remember her optimism, charm and intelligence, and the way she always made you feel welcome and important. Harriet was an avid reader and gardener, who was interested in politics and current events. She was a resourceful and determined person. Though mobility and vision were challenges, even this spring and summer Harriet could be found in the early mornings making sure things were just right in her garden. Harriet remained the center of a network of friends and family, whose pleasure and privilege it was to know her.

She worked at Grand Central in Murray, Utah during World War II and after the war married George Dalton. They established a home in Kearns, Utah, where they raised their two sons, Bill and Clint. Harriet retired from Litton Industries in Salt Lake City.
