Harold George Williamson

Harold George Williamson passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021 joining many loved ones and friends that preceded him. Harold (Herb) was born on February 10, 1930 in Provo, Utah to Ernel William Williamson and Mabel Mecham. He grew up in Lakeview, Utah County, graduating from Lincoln High School. He served an honorable mission to the Central Atlantic States Mission. Harold was an MP in the US Army during the Korean Conflict stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco. He attended church, where he met the love of his life, Arlene Glew. They attended BYU for a year together, marrying in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on June 10, 1955. He was proud of his record working for Associated Food Stores as a long haul driver for 24 years with over 2 million safe miles driven and received their first truck driver of the year award in 1977. Harold loved the outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing as well as keeping his yard beautiful; he also enjoyed his western movies. He treasured his relationships with childhood friends, celebrating New Year's Eve together for over 50 years. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout his life, serving in 3 bishoprics and many other callings.

Harold is survived by his wife Arlene, sons John (Brenda), Kent (Heidi), daughter, Lianne (Sam Van Eeden), Also, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, who he dearly loved. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings, and son Bret.

Harold's final resting place is in the South Jordan Cemetery. There will be a funeral on January 22, 2022 in his home ward in Midvale, Utah for all who wish to pay their respects.

Funeral services will be held on January 22 at 11 am at Midvale 7th Ward, 8300 S, corner of Princeton and Jackson Sts.
