Guy Moore

On Tuesday, August 31st at 11:00 AM, Guy Moore, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 89 at his home in Nephi.

Guy was born on September 1st, 1932 in Elko, Nevada.

Guy was very proud of his military service. He enjoyed telling stories about himself and his brothers and sisters in arms. He served three two-year tours and planned on making it a career. He was awarded the purple heart for an injury sustained in combat. He was enlisted from March of 1950 until December of 1955 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved working with his hands and spending time in his garden. Guy was happily employed at BYU for 31 years and took his children and grandchildren to work with him frequently.

Guy was an animal enthusiast and has had a great many pets throughout his life.

He met the love of his life, Wanda S Moore, during his last tour of duty and they were married two weeks later on January 5th, 1956.

Guy and Wanda Moore were married for 65 amazing years and had 7 children.

Guy is survived by his wife Wanda S Moore, along with their children and their spouses: Michael J Moore/ Shauna T Bentsen, Thomas James Moore/ Brooke L Moore, George Harrison Moore, Eddie Sue Reyna, William Randall Moore, along with two children that are no longer with us: Steven Guy Moore, Terry Ray Moore, and a great many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 8th from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Nephi.

Graveside services will be held afterwards starting at 11:00 AM, located at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi.
