On Friday, June 19, 2020, Grant D. Stubbs passed away from natural causes. He was born Sept. 19, 1940 in Provo, UT to Alfred D. Stubbs and Margaret Latta Stubbs. He was 79 years old.

After high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and spent much of his time in Germany.

He was about to return home when President Kennedy extended his time because of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

After returning home, he met his wife, Rae Swenson. Several months later they were married in Orem, UT.

In 1956 he graduated from jump school at Fort Benning, Georgia where he received his wings.

He retired from Kennecott Copper after 30 years. He golfed and worked at Murray Park Way and spent winters in St. George for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Rae Stubbs of 57 years, a son Todd Stubbs, a son Kelly Stubbs, and a daughter Teri Stubbs, 7 grandchildren, one great-grandson Carston Johnson of Alaska, sister Dinitia Harris, and brother Jesse Stubbs. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred D. and Margaret Stubbs, sister Joyce Fowler, and brother Don Stubbs.

There will be a viewing on Friday, June 26 from 9-10:45 am at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at the West Jordan City Cemetery.

The family would appreciate it is those attending the service would bring a mask to wear and respect the guidelines set in place for safe socialization in the times.
