Grace Duncan Church, 88, of Nauvoo Illinois, formerly of Midvale, Utah, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:07 am at River Hills Village in Keokuk, Iowa. She was born on August 12, 1927 in St. George, Utah. A daughter of Junius J. and Vida Elizabeth Riding Duncan. Grace married Karl Vernon Church on December 12, 1945 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2009.
She is survived by: Sharon (Duane) Bauer of St. George, Utah, Mace (Lilian) of Centennial, Arizona, Chris (Jane) of Nauvoo, Illinois, Dale, of Oregon City, Oregon, Jeanette (Alan) Moss, of Sandy, Utah, David, of Midvale, Utah. Also survived by: 46 grandchildren, 125 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert Nelson Stewart and Howard Evan Duncan, sister, Beth Duncan Taylor, and two grandchildren.
Grace attended schools at LaVerkin, Hurricane and Ogden, Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Grace enjoyed music and singing, she was an avid seamstress, and also participated in many vocal groups through the years. She loved hearing her children sing and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Midvale 8th Ward Chapel, 8350 Jackson St., Midvale, Utah 84047 on Saturday, July, 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Viewing will be on Friday, July, 8 from 5-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah, and again at 9:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday preceding the funeral. Burial will follow at the LaVerkin City Cemetery in LaVerkin Utah.
