Gorman A. Reagan

Gorman A. Little Reagan passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 16, 2021 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah, lovingly cared for by her son Christopher and surrounded by her precious pets.  Born January 7, 1942 in the Bronx, New York to Joseph Raymond Little and Adele Hoffer, Gorman moved away from the Bronx at age 19, but her unique accent remained with her to the end. Possessing a quick wit, she always claimed she was from Tooele, UT when people asked where she was from.

Gorman had one love, Daniel Adelbert Reagan, and they married on August 5, 1961.  They  remained deeply in love and committed to one another through Dan's mental health challenges, until his death in 2018.  Gorman held down the home front while Dan, a Lt. Commander in the Navy, served several tours during the Vietnam War.  She created a warm and inviting home wherever Dan's assignments took them.  The quickest way to make Gorman's acquaintance was to have a dog or a baby, because she was drawn to both like magnets.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend.  Gorman was a passionate fan of Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, Law & Order (especially when Lennie Brisco was on the beat), Teddy Bears, cupcakes, Las Vegas (even more so when the Double Diamond slot machines were paying), Tootsie Rolls, Disneyland, and mystery novels.

Gorman is survived by her four children, Colleen Hoyt (Chris), Michael (Ronda), Richard (Lori), and Christopher, brother Richard Little (Charlene), sisters-in-law Mariclare Klein and Mary Lou Little, brother-in-law William Reagan (Julia), grandchildren, Hayley, Maddy and Katie Reagan and Sam Hoyt, nieces, nephews and dear friends, Mary Borstadt, Valerie Moenich, Fritzi Hicks and Paul & Maureen Mombourquette.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Raymond Little.

The family will hold a celebration of Gorman's life on Thursday, August 5, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hogle Zoo RendeZoo room (2600 E. Sunnyside Ave., SLC, UT) to coincide with her and Dan's 60th wedding anniversary. Friends are invited to drop in and share memories. Gorman will later be interred at the Veteran's Cemetery at Camp Williams, reunited with her loving husband, Dan.
