Gordon L. Myers

It is with sadness and much love that the family of Gordon L. Myers announces his passing at the age of 85 years on April 24, 2022 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. He resided in Sandy, Utah for the last 23 years of his life and was buried in Cedar City, Utah.

He was born in Milford, Utah in 1936, the son of Ernest Myers and Jessie Howe. Gordon graduated from Beaver High in 1954 and then attended SUU in Cedar City, Utah where he met his wife, Iva Lynn. They were married on June 17, 1955 - later, sealed in the Los Angeles Temple for time and all eternity. They resided in California for approximately 40 years where Gordon became the Southern California Manager for Georgia Pacific Transport Company. In 1994, he retired and returned to Utah.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. He especially loved serving in the Jordan River and Draper Temple for over 10 years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his spouse, Iva Lynn Cosslett Myers, and their four children, Mark, Debora, Todd, and Scott Myers. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
