"Together Again"
Gloria Lucero of Midvale, Utah, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the age of 76. She and the love of her life, Adelido, will be reunited again.
Gloria was born in Eureka, Utah to Crespin and Lucy Ontiveros Saldivar. She was raised by Vidal and Felicitas Velarde in close contact with her brothers and sisters. She graduated from Jordan High School. She was a homemaker, taught Spanish to many children at the Mini-Vale MiniSchool, and was the Director of Religious Education for St. Therese's Parish
Gloria is survived by her sons, Layne, Daniel, and Frank Rey as well as her grandchildren, Greg, Montana, KoriAnne, Steven, Michael, and great grandson, Stevie. Her family was by her side and our love goes out to her brothers and sisters, Cress (BurnaDeen), Sam (Sharon), Chug, Paul, Ray (Lane), Esther (Mike), Linda (Frank), Vicky (Mike), Patsy (Mike), her brother and sister-in-law Lucas and Mary.
Gloria was not afraid to help all those around her, whether she knew them or not. She had a passion for teaching and being a mentor for young children both in preschool and in her own home.
Gloria will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
A viewing and Rosary in her honor will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. in Midvale on Thursday, May 12, from 6-8 pm.
Funeral will be Friday, May 13 at 11 am at St. Therese's Parish, 624 W. 7870 S., Midvale, with an hour viewing prior to the service.
Per Gloria's request, please wear "happy" colors.
Her interment will be at Midvale Cemetery following her services.
