Glenn Carlos Lewis passed away at home on August 16th 2024. He was born in Kamas, Utah, on July 14, 1938. His parents were John Glen Lewis and Alice Pitt Lewis.
Glenn attended South Summit High School in the class of 1956. He served in the Army in 1957. He served an LDS mission to the Western Canada Mission, where he made and enjoyed lifelong friendships.
He attended BYU and met his wife Carol there. They were married for 60 years and resided in Midvale, Utah, since 1973. He became an Elementary Teacher and taught sixth grade. Glenn was a Health Insurance Agency owner for 50 Years. He had many church callings, was Young Men's President, Bishop and served in two Stake Presidencies. He also loved managing church properties for a few years.
His hobbies were hiking in the mountains, going for long walks, golfing, reading, camping and spending time with family and friends.
He took care of his wonderful wife, who had Dementia for five years until she was put into a memory care facility that nearly broke his heart.
He is survived by his children Loralee, Brian, and Natalie (Ben); his grandchildren Kallie, Jillian, Laran, Christian, Mason, Jaden, Megan, and Lanie; his great-grandchildren Izayah, Camilla, Nico, Adelina, Jaycee, and one on the way; and his sister Carla Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carol and son Matthew.
Glenn was a kind, loving, sweet, and gentle soul. He was a faithful servant who loved Jesus Christ and wanted to become like him and he loved people unconditionally.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26th at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior to the services at the Ashbrook Ward Building, 6770 South 500 East, Midvale. Interment will take place at Marion Cemetery in Kamas, UT.
