Glenn William Greenhalgh

Glenn William Greenhalgh took his last motorcycle ride on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the age of 71.

Glenn was born on January 31, 1950 to Clarence "Pete" and Janet Bailey Greenhalgh of Nephi, Utah, the second of 3 children. He graduated from Juab High School and Utah Technical College.

On July 25, 1969, Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Neilsen. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. Although Peggy died just two months shy of their 50th wedding anniversary, he said that he loved her for more than 50 years.

Over the years, Glenn worked building trailers, on the county road crew, and at various positions at Allan's Grocery Store. His love for working on cars prompted him to open Glenn's Garage, where he worked alongside his son, Ron. He spent the majority of his professional career working for Juab County where he wore many hats, including Economic Development, Planning and Zoning, and Computer Administrator. While working for Juab County, he had the opportunity to serve on many boards and committees, both locally and state-wide, before retiring in June 2019. He also worked for Nephi City in Planning and Zoning and continued that work until the time of his death.

Glenn spent a great deal of time working on the cars of family and friends and providing computer support, often taking "a good visit" as payment for his services. He loved to serve others and cherished the friendships he made both personally and professionally.

As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Glenn served in many church callings such as Sunday School Teacher, Ward Clerk, Bishop, and as a member of the Stake Presidency. He loved church and family history and took great care in knowing where he came from and the stories of his ancestors.

Glenn is survived by his 3 children, Ron (Leslie) and their 5 children; Heidi (Ricardo) and her 3 children; and Neil; his sister Betty Jo; his brother Steve (Dorothy); his sister-in-law Nancy (LaMonte); his brother-in-law Allan; his friend and companion Susan. Preceded in death by his wife Peggy; his parents Pete and Janet; his mother-and-father-in-law Milton and Dorothy; his brother-in-law Russell; his sister-in-law Shelly.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Nephi 7th Ward Chapel, 222 S 100 E, Nephi, Utah with a viewing from 10:00-10:45 am. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W 300 N, Nephi, Utah.
