Beloved dad, grandpa, and papa passed away peacefully in his home of 58 years where he and the love of his life, Bonnie, raised their 6 children together. He fought a courageous battle with cancer, and his wife and children were fortunate to be with him at the time of his passing. Glen was born in Midvale, Utah on August 5, 1935, to Sylvan John Dunn and Vera Hobbs. He was the youngest of 8 children.
Glen graduated from Jordan High School and he married his high school sweetheart Bonnie Lou Wenerstrom on October 9, 1952. He was a member of the union and worked at Kennecott for over 30 years. Although money was sometimes tight due to the strikes at Kennecott, their love, togetherness, and family always persevered. After retirement Glen worked as an usher at the Utah State Legislature and at Mountain View Golf course.
Glen was an avid golfer, and he loved to watch the Utes and the Jazz. He especially loved his daily early morning coffee at McDonalds with his longtime buddies. Glen was at his best and happiest spending time with his great grandchildren. They all loved and enjoyed playtime with their Papa.
Glen is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters Karie (Greg); Kathy (Patrick); Debra (Mike); Kelly (Rick); son Larry (Karen); twin brothers Roy and Ray Dunn; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, son Scott Glen, and great grandson Gavin. He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018, at 11:30 am at the Midvale City Cemetery.
