Glen Deloy Burgener

On May 27, 2021, surrounded by his family, Glen DeLoy Burgener returned home.

Glen was born on January 5, 1933 in Park City, UT to Elmer Ray and Thelma Ann Pyper Burgener.

He graduated from Park City High School in 1951 and joined the Navy shortly after. Glen served for 4 years achieving the appointment of Hospital Corpsman Second Class.

After returning home from his military service, he was reacquainted with ArLee Labrum, and they were married on October 26, 1957. She was the love of his life.

Glen worked as a machinist at Eimco Mining and Machine Company where he retired as a Master Machinist.

Glen loved to fish, hunt, camp (especially at The Property), golf and go to Wendover. He loved all sports, especially basketball or anything his grandsons were playing.

Anyone who knew Glen never forgot him and he never forgot them. He was a friend for life, genuine, caring, and sincere. A man of true integrity, with compassion, tolerance, and love for all. He was a family man who continually served his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He never forgot a name or a birthday!

Glen is survived by his children Terri and Nolan Isom, Sandy; Jodi and Lynn Schilling, South Jordan; Korby and Jay Burningham, Saratoga Springs; Dennis and Janet Burgener, Sandy, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a great great grandson, and a sister, Nancy Broadhead, Kamas.

Glen was preceded in death by his sweetheart ArLee, his parents, a brother, a sister, and a great granddaughter. plus many other family and friends who were undoubtably there to welcome him home.

Glen will be missed immensely by all who knew him. Until we meet again, Love you forever.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd at 12:00 pm. There will be a viewing the same day from 10:30 to 11:45. Both will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Sandy, UT.
