Gerald Lee Bowen "Shy"

Our Beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and Friend, Jerry Bowen fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family as the Lord accepted him into his arms.

Jerry was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to Gordon and Rose Lee “Tiny” Bowen.

Jerry loved his beautiful wife of 59 years, Margaret. Jerry was baptized into the Catholic Church and they were married on August 10, 1963. Jerry faithfully loved and served his wife as she declined in her later years from health issues. He served her with love and compassion. He left some very big boots to fill.

Jerry was a gifted man who could turn gold into whatever he touched. He owned a successful Bakery, a successful Automotive Shop and was an excellent HVAC technician.

Jerry had a magnetic personality and almost everyone he met loved him and became a lifelong friend.

Jerry had a great love of restoring old cars including a 1955 Chevy and a 1936 Ford Sedan. The Desert, Sun, Music, Relationships with Family and Friends were what he LOVED most.

We wish to thank Dr. Richard Frame and staff and Applegate Hospice for the love, care and comfort that was provided to Jerry.

We also want to thank Clint, their only Son, for his daily care, love and sacrifice he gave to both Dad and Mom.

We will miss you Dad. Your shining presence in the lives of others will be GREATLY missed and God in Heaven is lucky to have you back.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Margaret Bowen; children: Christine (Bryan) King, Annette Bowen, Karen Bowen, Clint (Tori) Bowen, sister Jeannie (Gerald) Kennedy, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
