George Gerald Robinson, devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed from this life May 7, 2021 at age 92 in Murray Utah. He was born March 13, 1929 in Salt Lake City to George Jeremiah and Esther Lythgoe Robinson, and raised with his two brothers James Charles and David Gordon. He married Ann LaRae Lundberg in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Sept 14, 1956. They are the parents of four daughters: Pamela Lee Anderson (Kip), Carolyn (Cari) Kay Birdsley (Robert), Kristine Ann Larrabee (Tod Hammer), and Susan Jane Robinson. George and Ann were blessed with 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
George graduated from South High School, served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force from 1947-51, then served an LDS mission to Paraguay and Uruguay form 1952-54. He chased after Ann while attending BYU; graduated from the University of Utah in 1959, and received a master's degree from Westminster College in 1981. He was an educator in California and Utah, retiring from the Jordan School District in 1994. He worked hard to support his family, often with more than one job. He served in many ward callings, stake missions, and was an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple. He won blue ribbons for his beautiful wood carvings. George was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and is survived by his wife and family. He was wonderfully cared for at the IMC hospital in Murray after his fall.
Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Jordan 3rd Ward, 8950 South 400 East, Sandy, Utah on Friday, May 14 at 12 Noon. Family viewing prior to service.
