George B. Davis, age 74, passed away surrounded by his family as a result of a stroke. He was born on June 15, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bertha Carine Player and Fitzhugh Dewey Davis. George grew up in Salt Lake City and attended East High School, where he played football and then graduated from the University of Utah. He served a mission for the LDS Church in the Great Lakes Mission. He served in many callings for the Church.
George married Brenda Rasmussen on August 24, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had two wonderful sons, Richard and Ronald.
George was passionate about reading and always learning. His other passion was BYU Football. (It doesn't mean he wasn't a "UTE" fan though.) He enjoyed taking his sons to BYU Football games, fishing and baseball games. He loved attending both of his sons' sporting events and supported them in all of their activities.
Survived by his wife, Brenda; sons, Richard and Ronald Davis; brother, Michael; sisters, Patricia Bartholio, Judy Bawden and Janice Christison. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Fitzhugh and sisters, Joyce Rippon and Marjorie Davis.
George was always a very compassionate and giving person, helping those less fortunate than himself. We love and miss you!
