Genevieve Rae Craig

Genevieve, of South Salt Lake, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2017 at the age of 78. Born on July 19, 1939 to Ludwig Maier and Iris Dorothy Miles.

Genevieve was raised and attended school in the Salt Lake City area. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them especially her sister, Carolyn. Genevieve married John Craig on October 8, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have 2 sons.

She worked for 23 years in the Tiffin Room at Cottonwood ZCMI /Meier and Frank. Genevieve was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved doing genealogy, serving in her church callings and doing Temple work. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Genevieve enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She had a special love for children and all animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her sons, Sean, of Saratoga Springs, and Jim (Heidi), of American Fork, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother George Maier, and sister Carolyn Mitchell.

Her viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 8 from 10:00-11:15 am at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. in Midvale. A graveside service will be held at noon at Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Road.
