Patricia Gayle Lynn Linton passed away in Palm Springs, California, on December 16, 2017 of causes due to old age.  Gayle was born June 23, 1936 in Mona, Utah, to her parents Fred and Viola Lynn.  She was the only girl in her family, and was raised with 5 brothers. She lived in Mona throughout her growing-up years, attending Juab High School.  She married her high school sweetheart, Gordon Linton, and they enjoyed many, many years together, including 6 months stationed in Germany while Gordon was in the Army.

Gayle and Gordon were blessed with 4 children:  Tonya (Glen) Campbell, Dayna (Glen) Whittier, Troy (Monica) Linton and Gregory (Becky) Linton. She has 17 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

She has lived in various places throughout her life: Mona, Provo, Utah, Santa Maria, and Lompoc, California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Hacienda Heights, California, where she has lived for the last 45 years.

After moving to California again, Gayle participated in the TV show, "Let's Make a Deal," where chose the "Big Deal of the Day", winning a trip to Europe, a car, and cash, totaling over $10,000.

Gayle had a passion to "go see the world" and took many trips to various parts of the world, from the South Pacific islands, and throughout Europe, visiting places such as Tahiti, Western Samoa, Hawaii, New Zealand, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Sweden, Norway, Britain, Denmark, Greece, and Turkey.

She was a lifetime active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, holding various callings in the church.  She was known for her laughter, her ability to make friends, the love of her family, her smile, and her kindnesses to many people.

Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West, 300 North, Nephi, Utah and at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the old Mona LDS Chapel, Mona, Utah, with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mona Cemetery.
