Gary Dewayne Millerberg

"Tank"

Our beloved husband, father, and papa, Gary DeWayne Millerberg, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the age of 65. Gary was born August 8, 1951 in Murray, Utah to DeWayne and RoLayne Millerberg. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1969 and shortly after enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Keflavik, Iceland. After completing his military obligation, he enrolled at Salt Lake Community College. Gary married his high school sweetheart Gail Swenson January 6, 1973 in Murray, Utah and later married in the Catholic Church. They raised 3 children in Sandy, Utah and lived there for 38 years before moving to South Jordan, Utah 2 years ago. Gary worked for Cummins Intermountain Diesel for over 30 years. He opened a branch for Cummins Intermountain Diesel in Vernal, Utah and worked in various mines throughout the western United States. Later went to work for Arnold Machinery as a Territory Manager in Forklift Sales. He was passionate about his job. His business relationships turned into lasting friendships. Gary will be greatly missed. He enjoyed their weekend trips to their home in Mesquite, Nevada. He loved gambling and "WINNING." He enjoyed golfing, music, many camping and fishing trips at Flaming Gorge, and taking his grandchildren to Yellowstone. Gary had a love for new and old cars. Gary enjoyed traveling with his wife Gail on many memorable vacations. Gary and Gail were always together, you would never see one of them without the other. One of his most favorite vacations was with his family to Disneyland this past November, watching his grandchildren experience Disneyland for their very first time. Gary was a devoted husband and father. He lived for his family and his 8 grandchildren. He had an infectious smile (especially his dimples). Gary is going to leave a huge void in all of our lives.

Gary is survived by his wife, Gail Millerberg; daughter, Melissa (Jonathan) Griego; son, Eric Millerberg; daughter, Brynn (Dustin) Reesor, and his 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, DeWayne & RoLayne Millerberg; Gail's parents, Max & Marie Swenson; grandparents, Wallace & Celeste Millerberg; uncle, Keith Millerberg; brothers-in-law, Randy Swenson, and Tim Simon.
