Flora A. Buck

On February 12, 1929, I was born to Vasel and Rena Stefanoff in Murray, Utah. Passed away January 25, 2021 at the age of 91 due to natural causes.

Graduated from Jordan High School in 1947. Began working for Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Murray, Utah. Later went to St. Louis, Missouri and worked for Southwestern Bell for 6 years. In 1962 I transferred back to Salt Lake to work for U.S. West Telephone. Retired in 1982 with 31 years of service. I was a member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) and served as a Steward, Chief Steward and Vice President of the Plant Department.

Married Edwin B. Buck on January 16, 1965. After both of us retired from the company, we moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1986 and came to Utah in the summers to visit. After Edwin (Ted) passed away in 1996, I stayed in Mesa until 2004.

My sincere appreciation and thank you to Dr. Kent DiFiore who helped me battle cancer and gave me 17 more years of life.

I am survived by my sister Maxine Hughes (Robert), stepchildren Gary (Linda), Colleen Riddell (Steve), Glenn (Jaime), and Roger (Susan), 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by my parents, husband, brother Steve and his wife Eileen, and two grandchildren Camille and Greyson.

My desire is to be cremated and placed at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mausoleum in Sandy. There will be no services due to Covid-19.

Do Do, we love you!
