EAGLE MOUNTAIN --Eula Jessop Thompson, 78, passed away on March 12, 2017 surrounded by family.
Eula was born on November 20, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Beth Allred and Lyman Jessop. She devoted her entire life to serving her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Eula was a wife, mother, sister, friend and teacher who cared deeply for everyone around her. She always put others before herself and gave freely of the little she had. She served faithfully in many church callings and was honored and respected by those who knew her.
When her children were small, she worked a farm, drove tractors, irrigated fields, milked cows, mended fences and kept a garden while managing to work full time as a professional housekeeper to help support her family. She remained lifetime friends with many of her employers.
For the last 20 years of her life she worked as an archivist for a private company. It became her passion. She had a thirst for knowledge that was never satisfied. Her favorite pastime was memorizing scriptures and historical facts, and discussing religion with family and friends.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters, and her granddaughter Elizabeth Spencer. She is survived by her 10 children, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
